The King’s Schools’ experience is built upon four pillars: academic excellence, Christian commitment, a caring community and a rich heritage. Over the past 57 years, King’s Schools has provided education to thousands of students with a mission of “inspiring hearts and equipping minds to serve God for His glory.”

We are located on two campuses: King’s Schools (infant care-12) on the main CRISTA Ministries campus in Shoreline, and King’s West (K-12) in Bremerton.

In FY 2007, 97.3% of graduating seniors moved on to higher education. Of King’s Shoreline students who took Advanced Placement exams, 92.2% scored 3 or higher (the score universities typically recognize for credit). Besides Advanced Placement courses, a concurrent study program for earning college credit through high school classes was approved at King’s West for implementation in FY 2008. At King’s elementary in Shoreline, students scored 1.0-3.8 grade levels higher than the national grade level equivalent on the complete battery for SAT tests, and King’s Junior High students won honors at the area Math Olympiad.

Students in the King’s music program won multiple honors at the regionally renowned Mt. Hood and Reno Jazz Festivals, and they were also featured in the Seattle Times and on KIRO TV’s morning show for their outstanding accomplishments in the area of jazz.

Extracurricular activities play a significant role at King’s Schools. Over 70% of the student body participates in drama, music, athletics and student government. We added boy's and girl's soccer on the Shoreline campus, and in their inaugural season the girl’s team finished third in state while the boy's team made it to the state finals and took home the second-place trophy.

“Inspiring students to serve” is at the heart of King’s Schools’ mission. All secondary students perform 20-40 hours of community service yearly. Students benefit from the affiliation with CRISTA through opportunities to know CRISTA Senior Community residents, to learn about and support World Concern projects, or to serve as counselors at camp. It is estimated that King’s students provided over 25,000 service hours to the community during FY 2007.

King’s Schools’ enrollment increased significantly during FY 2007. Between the two campuses, enrollment for the 2006-2007 school year increased by 69 students (4.6% increase), including the admission of approximately 270 new students to the K-12 program. Along with increased enrollment, re-enrollment rates for the 2007-2008 school year were extremely high. On the Shoreline campus, 95% of families re-enrolled.
