CRISTA Senior Living creates a nourishing environment in which seniors experience dignity, joy and purpose through meaningful relationships and a full range of services. Our two campuses, CRISTA Senior Community and CRISTA Shores, reflect our passion to celebrate life.

CRISTA Senior Community on CRISTA’s 55-acre Shoreline campus offers a continuum of care and service through residential apartment living, Assisted Living and a Skilled Nursing Center. CRISTA Shores on the waterfront in Silverdale offers residential and Assisted Living apartments and a full range of health care services, activities and amenities. Many improvements and successes characterized FY 2007 at CRISTA Senior Living. We began by hiring a Nursing Center Administrator, Residential Services Administrator, and Marketing Director. In June 2007, we launched a bathroom renovation project in Assisted Living in Shoreline, remodeling four rooms at a time until the project has been completed. The residents are delighted with their new bathrooms!

Our Medicare-focused neighborhood in the Nursing Center was redesigned to accommodate short-stay needs. Residents now enjoy flat-panel televisions with basic cable and wireless technology for internet access, as well as new paint, furniture, carpet, curtains and light fixtures for each room.

CRISTA Shores also had a benchmark year. The new Director of Wellness Programs created a department that coordinates clinic, chaplaincy and activities programs. With new state-of-the-art exercise equipment and staff assistance, the small number of visits to our fitness room has increased to 300 per month. Three new support groups provide information, encouragement and fellowship in the areas of fall prevention, dementia and diabetes.

Desiring to serve and educate the aging population and their adult children, we hosted three educational seminars offering expert instruction on health care, long-term fiscal planning, brain function health and fraud prevention.

Finally, we’ve engaged in longterm planning and preparation to accommodate the needs of future residents. We’re strategizing how CRISTA will provide the appropriate level of health care and services to the rapidly increasing senior population.
