CRISTA Women’s Ministries is an organization that seeks to strengthen and enlarge Christ’s Kingdom by equipping women leaders to serve within the body of Christ. We nurture relationships with women in ministry leadership by providing opportunities for networking, learning and fellowship.
CRISTA Women’s Ministries launched their LEAD (Leadership Enrichment and Development) Program in partnership with LifeWay Christian Resources. Over 600 women leaders from 312 churches in four states received training about cultural leadership issues and ministry development. Said one leader who attended, “I thought the event was excellent—well-planned and thought provoking. Sometimes we get so caught up in programs, we forget the most important thing is to be supportive to women, praying for them and letting them know there’s someone who cares.”
CRISTA Women’s Ministries’ Touchpoint Groups provide opportunities for women in ministry leadership to meet and to share resources, ideas and encouragement that equip and challenge them in their ministry roles. Ten Touchpoint Groups are currently serving churches from Mt. Vernon to Olympia.
This spring, CRISTA Women’s Ministries hosted their third annual Refreshing the Heart Prayer Retreat. This is a time set aside for women in ministry leadership to pray and worship God. Carole Dreyer, a leader from Mountain View Community Church, has attended the prayer retreat for the past two years. Through her own experience there, she was inspired to offer a similar prayer retreat to women at her own church. Lisa Boyle-Davis, one of the women who attended Carole’s retreat, shared her thanks: “This prayer retreat was unique in its open, meaningful prayer and conversations. Real problems were prayed for and real breakthroughs occurred. Prayer retreats like this are not common. I’d like to thank CRISTA Women’s Ministries for providing Carole with the model to follow!” As CRISTA Women’s Ministries supports and blesses leaders, those they lead are also touched.
